George Zongolopoulos’ “Poseidon” travels to Washington DC!
The emblematic stainless steel work by sculptor George Zongolopoulos "POSEIDON", height 3.90 m., will be installed permanently in the surroundings of the new Milken School of Public Health building at The George Washington University situated on one of the main streets of the capital of the United States of America.
The sculpture, which was donated by the George Zongolopoulos Foundation in Athens, was originally included in the award-winning sculptural composition with water jets that George Zongolopoulos created in 1960 for Omonia Square in central Athens, although it was never finally installed.
