The crew of a Japanese ΤV Channel has undertaken the shooting of a documentary film about the Greek island of Crete and its customs. The shooting of the film began on Epiphany Day in the region of Saint Nikolaos in Crete, where the blessing of the waters took place.
The next shooting was held on Saturday, Feast Day for St. John the Baptist. The production crew taped all the traditional customs related to the celebrations in honor of St. John the Baptist.
The Japanese TV Channel was also interested in customs of Cretan shopping, cooking and Greek-Cretan traditional Glenti.
This documentary film focusing on the everyday life of Cretans in Greece is intended to advertise the Greek island and increase its prominence by promoting its culture and traditions worldwide.
