Bright Intervention Spices Up Shady Street In Athens
Walking through the dark alleys of Psirri, a part of the Athens’ city centre that has a strong identity and contradictive reputation, you will discover Pittaki street. Creative studio Beforelight and the non-profit organization Imagine The City decided to bring light back to that forgotten street by creating a light installation from 150 citizens’ donations of old lamp fixtures and lamp shades.
Το Mind the Buzz, η πιο ολοκληρωμένη εφαρμογή
Sunday, February 17, 2013

H καλή πλευρά της Ελλάδας / the good side of Greece supports Imam Baildi's Kickstarter campaign!
Hi everyone,
We are Imam Baildi, a band from Athens, Greece. Our music is based on remixing old Greek tunes of the 1940's, 50's and 60's and combining them with new sounds and production techniques in order to embed them into a contemporary musical context. We've played extensively in Greece and Europe, and are now attempting to cross the Atlantic for the first time to perform at the prestigious 'South by Southwest Festival' in Austin, Texas.

Financial Times: Mazi restaurant - authentically Greek but not predictable
When Christina Mouratoglou opened a Greek restaurant in London last
summer, her father found himself doing her a curious favour. On the
rocks by the sea near his house outside Thessaloniki grows kritama, a
green salty plant that is “half way between seaweed and a herb”.
Mouratoglou, who with her partner and co-founder Adrien Carre spent
months in Greece combing for fine producers, wanted to put this unusual
ingredient on the menu: “My father hand picked it and sent it in boxes …
there was a great demand but he came back and said there isn’t any
more, I picked it all!” It won’t make a return to Mazi, the Notting Hill
restaurant run by Mouratoglou and Carre, until June, when it’s growing
again on the rocks.
