A group of young Greek students - Loukas Karakikes, Athena Tsiligaridis and Calliope Tatsis - have
launched an innovative product that would certainly attract every
woman's attention: convertible high heels.
The three students from Democritus
University of Thrace in northern Greece came up with the idea of
convertible shoes after looking at the market and women's daily
routines.
Since women's lives are very busy,
they don't have time to change their outfits or shoes during the
day, they offered them a solution that would save them a lot of
time and money.
With the convertible shoes, women
can combine style and comfort in their everyday life, as the
mechanism can turn the high heel into a flat shoe and vice
versa.
"We wanted to make women feel
comfortable and elegant," explained one of the inventors Loukas
Karakikes, speaking to local media this week.
After launching their idea, the
three inventors are in contact with shoe companies that have
expressed interest to buy their product.
Greece's youth entrepreneurship and
innovation find its way amidst economic crisis. Many examples of
young students, who come up with an innovative idea, make their
start up and get funds to expand.Sources: China.org.cn, Ste.Ma
