The story of a four-year-old Greek-Australian boy, who suffers from medulloblastoma, a rare form of cancer, managed to move a big part of the Greek-Australian community.
Little Loukas Strouzas was diagnosed with the disease two years ago. From the first moment the news that he had to be transferred to the US was published, many people were mobilized to collect the sum of 200,000 dollars needed for his hospitalization in a special clinic.
A sum of 160,000 dollars has already been raised and an event that will be organized by Greek-Australians is expected to raise an important sum of money as the drama of little Loukas has moved everybody.
Little Loukas has already undergone an eleven-hour surgical intervention and chemotherapy. However, the only treatment for him remains the ultramodern treatment centers in the US, where he must be hospitalized for at least six weeks and undergo special surgery with radiotherapy.
