The Pancretan Association of America (PAA) has once again amazed us by proving their endless solidarity and the fact that a second Crete lives some million miles away whose members do not forget their fellow Cretans.
A fundraiser took place a few days ago in Chicago under the auspices of the PAA where a very respectable sum of money was collected for Cretan orphans.
We all knew that a second Crete is to be found outside the Greek borders, but that could not stop us from praising this unbelievable sign of solidarity by Greek-Americans from Crete.
Cretans from all over America were among other expatriates who responded to the call arrived in Chicago a few days ago in an event organized by the Pancretan Association of America in the building of the Chicago Museum, reports cretalive.gr
It seems that now more than ever Cretans have not forgotten their mother and their fellow countrymen, especially during times of need.

The sum collected was an astonishing $40,000, all of it to go towards the philanthropic efforts for Cretan orphanages.
